A new book offers the best explanation to date for the extreme concentration of wealth and income in the U.S.
Good book.  They have the start point wrong.

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.
The big fast number crunchers are mostly at the NSA these days. They don't get talked about.  It isalong the same lines as the SR71
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR71_Blackbird ) It set the aircraft speed record on retirement.  I hope the NSA talks to the State Department.
I wait and do the elder care. It is not very demanding.  I wait for you to take title.  You have owned me in so far as that can be done since shortly after You spoke to me the first time.
                                                                         I  love you.

    Vote
There are critically important decisions to be made about whether the country moves ahead or backward. We urge all Americans to vote.

    Backward it is.

    Thinking, Fogged.
I will watch my equities and sell when they stagger.  I will hold cash into the deflation.  It will be an interesting two years.  We may see some bipartisanship before it is over.  Lynch mobs have that effect.

Jon Stewart Rally Shifts Blame to the News Media
At his Rally to Restore Sanity, Jon Stewart was unwilling to take a stand in the culture wars. So he opened fire on a bystander: the news media.
It was not enough.  I hope the record is good.  I will buy DVDs of this and Woodstock. They may be heirlooms.  There will be lots of copies for a bit.

Times of London Reports More Than 100,000 Paying Customers for Web Site
The Times of London is among the first prominent general interest newspapers to build a “pay wall” for its content.  There will be a way around or I can pay the subscription cost.  The Guardian is still free as are the Monitor and The Nation. The Huffington Report is very good with links.  When the Times put Krugmans column behind the pay wall
(  http://economistsview.typepad.com/economistsview/  ) put it out for free.
