Budget Puzzle: You Fix the Budget
Today, you’re in charge of the nation’s finances. Make your own plan for closing the 2015 and 2030 budget gaps, then share it online.
I looked at the interactive. The budget can be fixed. The question is why?
The real problem is to get the economy working. No one ever did not make some money because making it was going to cost them some of it later.
Reasonable taxes do not discourage activity.  The key is the income must stay positive.  Net expenses will not be carried.

True but insufficient.  There is too much Kool aid in this picture.

Who Will Stand Up to the Superrich?
The issue is whether the country can afford the damage being done by the ever-growing income inequality between the wealthiest Americans and everyone else.  Net costs will not be carried.

      Cellphones and Cancer - A Far-From-Settled Issue
“One of many reasons that kids sh not sleep w/ their phones->Cellphones & Cancer-A Far-From-Settled Issue - http://nyti.ms/d5Z3s9”
For those who would not have it settled, it never will be settled.
The problem starts with bad statistics and faith.
Cell phone use is near universal.  There should be a growing bulge in the brain cancer statistics not explicable by other causes.

So can I.  I know lots of good reasons not to.  I would just as soon not go there at this time.

If you assumed that worries about cellphone radiation were unfounded, a new survey of scientific investigations suggests that you think again.
I looked. I thought.  They are unfounded.

As Glaciers Melt, Scientists Seek New Data on Rising Seas
Researchers have been startled to see signs of rapid melting in Greenland and Antarctica, but lack enough data to precisely calculate how much coastal flooding could result.
Precision is not required.  The work should be funded. No matter what the answer is we care about it.  It is a knowable number.  Getting an approximation and error bars will take a few grad students all semester.

From the government side this looks a lot like "Whitey" Bolger. From the tech side this is corporate incompetence. To me Gonsales looks like a sociopath who found a way to the adventures he craved.
      Sometimes Professor Moriarty is real.
This is not shocking except in its scale and duration.
