Who Will Stand Up to the Superrich?
The issue is whether the country can afford the damage being done by the ever-growing income inequality between the wealthiest Americans and everyone else.
Inflation, if we can get one, will solve much of this problem.
Wipe out the debtors with deflation, wipe out wealth with inflation. We can all be broke together.

As Glaciers Melt, Scientists Seek New Data on Rising Seas
Researchers have been startled to see signs of rapid melting in Greenland and Antarctica, but lack enough data to precisely calculate how much coastal flooding could result.
No one cares about precision. A broad estimate is enough. It is bad and growing worse at an accelerating pace. The time to run is when your escape rout is threatened. There seems to be no escape from the rise of the waters. The economies should be running most individuals  can wait a season or a few decades.

InitiallyI do not want an online presence for my business.  I will probably enter through the sale sites.

    Cellphones and Cancer - A Far-From-Settled Issue
If you assumed that worries about cellphone radiation were unfounded, a new survey of scientific investigations suggests that you think again.
I see no new evidence here.  Science never quite closes the door.  Only faith gives that assurance.

I am amazed that there are any survivors of childhood.  How did these parents make it to sexual maturity?

Here’s a Woman Fighting Terrorism. With Microloans.
Creating opportunities for women in places like Pakistan is the way to snuff out terrorism. Just ask a microfinance warrior named Roshaneh Zafar.
Catastrophic failure of  poverty. What a concept!   We must encourage this in all the world.

A plan for the Bollywood film industry’s first feature about Hitler has already drawn an outcry from Indian moviegoers and historians, and now the project has lost the actor who was to play the lead character, Agence France-Presse reported.

Budget Puzzle: You Fix the Budget
Today, you’re in charge of the nation’s finances. Make your own plan for closing the 2015 and 2030 budget gaps, then share it online.
Looks pretty easy to me. 61% tax increases, 39% cuts.  nobody fired, no wages cut.  The defence contractors take much of the hit.

    Try Something Hard: Governing
House Republicans’ vows to tie up the Obama administration are not going to solve any of the country’s problems.
They will certainly solve several of our problems by removing themselves in the next election.  We can probably survive two years without congress.

David Brooks Can learn if the alternative is sufficiently painful. He has not yet changed his view on how things should get done.  It is going to take more to make a thoughtful person of him.
