Grasp them by the feet and swing the head against the nearest rock.
A slander on the behaviour of invaders from ancient times.
Mostly they just made more by rape and sent the little ones off to slavery.

    The Crossroads Nation
From Bill Clinton’s bridge to the 21st century to President Obama’s new foundation, the next American century is often described vaguely. Here’s
    why.
David Brooks  does not understand causality.  He really believes in magic.
Civilization is based on and constructed from information and creativity.
It always has been. It will continue to be.  It is an intelligent design. A human design.  The sooner David Brooks is sent to assisted living the better for all of the rest of us.
We are not predicting the shape of the future, we are debating it.
The uncertainty he finds objectionable is the range of possibilities of what the future can be.
There are no roads. We must build them.
My problem is that the uncertainty is excessively narrow.
It appears that we are doomed.

I have to put in a few last days. there could be a surprise but it does not look good.  It has been a good thing to do while waiting.  I am not sorry I did it.  That will require a few more days to finish up.

I love you.  I continue to love you. I will continue to love you.
My undivided attention will be yours soon. Very soon.

I am going to love that.

Proficiency of Black Students Is Found to Be Far Lower Than Expected
A new report focusing on black males suggests that the picture of the achievement gap separating black from white students is even bleaker than generally known.

What it does not discuss are policy responses identified with a robust school reform movement that emphasizes closing failing schools, offering charter schools as alternatives and raising the quality of teachers.
The report did not go down this road because “there’s not a lot of research to indicate that many of those strategies produce better results,” Mr. Casserly said.

    Really damning.
I am unsure if it is white culture or black culture.
