Climate Lessons From a Master Mediator
I got to know Ted Kheel over the final decade of his remarkable life, which ended at age 96 on Sunday. To get a sense of the man and his accomplishments, including his mediation of tens of thousands of disputes (that’s not a typo), read  The ...

As long as the parties involved insist on unconditional surrender the conflict will continue. None of them is volunteering to die.
Great pain seems to be the only entry to closed minds.
Pain usually does not kill.  It just makes death desirable.

North Korea Working With Uranium at Vast New Plant
North Korea showed an American scientist last week a vast new facility it secretly and rapidly built to enrich uranium.

Plutonium is a much easier and cheaper bomb metal.  Going to a uranium enrichment system shows a curious ignorance.
Why in the world would they go to step one from step four?
I can only think they want to manipulate world opinion as opposed to playing power politics.  Iran has been very successful with this play.

Paul Krugman is deadly accurate most of the time. When he seems to miss, he is looking under a different rock.  I enjoy watching him do the heavy lifting.
