Growing Up Digital, Wired for Distraction
The constant stream of stimuli offered by new technology poses a profound new challenge to focusing and learning.
One idea is to be able to do these things in one's sleep.  It is not real good to start that way.

    There Will Be Blood
One of our parties has made it clear that it has no interest in making America governable, unless it’s doing the governing.
Yes, We know.  Learning it again does not hurt.

Overuse of Digital Devices May Lead to Brain Fatigue
“Overuse of Digital Devices May Lead to Brain Fatigue - http://nyti.ms/9XxvYC -/- makes me wonder...how about you?”
Getting tired is part of life. I thought raising ones metabolism was the reason why.  Just rest when you tire. Do it more and suffer less.

An Outlaw Street Race, for a Good Cause
“Couldn't make Cranksgiving charity bike race, but buddy @andrasrevesz finished 30th on a tandem. NYT reports: http://bit.ly/5QnhOz”
A good day not to be there.  Sounds like fun. Also a good way to get dead. Street racing is just too hairy.

This is not a winner.  It will be instructive for the times to see the effect of a paywall.  This will be no loss.

With Kinect Controller, Hackers Take Liberties
Programmers, roboticists and tinkerers are getting Microsoft’s new Kinect gaming device to do things it was not meant to do.

As usual MS wants to spoil the party.

They begin to understand. Duke required the whack but the resulting law is very bad.

Most people do not understand 3D.  This is going to frustrate many.  I still like Autocad for this. I will have to study the toy store.

      Your Brain on Computers
Articles in the Your Brain on Computers series from The New York Times.  OK, I see the editors have been following this willowthewhisp for some months. At this point we can ignore their nerves.  There is some combat strain on the kids.  They have survived this kind of thing many times over the centuries.  The aggregaters like facebook are trying to simplify life so money can be extracted.  I think Google may win the contest.  They seem to bug me the least.
Boring was never a goal of yours. Why would your child be different?
