Patient Safety Is Not Improving in Hospitals, Study Finds
Efforts to make hospitals safer are falling short, researchers report, in the first large study in a decade to analyze harm from medical care and track it.
There is pressure on the docs to over treat. there is pressure on the nurses to under treat.  These pressures come from the business management offices.  A less business oriented system would have less trouble. Single payer.

    Afghanistan and Vietnam
Afghanistan is not yet the trap Vietnam was.
We would be very wise to walk away now.
What is a Crusade worth to us?

City Critic | Need Cash? Sell Your Gold - Video Library - The New York Times
“City Critic | Need Cash? Sell Your Gold - Video Library - The New York Times - http://nyti.ms/1Z9sEE”
There is quite a bit of panic in the market just now. Selling under these conditions is not a bad thing to do if you have a better thing to do with the value.  The problem is that we are having a deflation and the price should be falling. It is not.  There is a group that is expecting inflation and wants a defence against it. They are buying vigorously. This is a bubble and will pop.  The price of gold will spiral down as the value of the dollar increases.  We will exit the spiral with a recovering economy and a sharp inflation.  If you have gold and do not need cash, hold it. If you do not have gold do not buy it.  It is very over priced. If you want symbols or ornaments, get gold by all means.
It is not an investment or a speculation with any rational.

Short of outright invasion and conquest what can the south Korean regime do that has not been done?

Takashi Murakami’s Art, Inflated for the Macy’s Parade
Kaikai and Kiki, two creations of the Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami, will join Macy’s for its Thanksgiving Day parade.
I was looking at the broadcast this morning. The director has not though in terms of parade. The show was very static or it was set up with a radial symmetry. Parades are different. there the geometry is linear. The elements are static and progress  with the advancing march, serially.

      Walgreens Tackles Food Deserts
“Walgreens Tackles Food Deserts - http://nyti.ms/91oCIj <-I've noticed some of these. Have you?”
I have noticed a growing presence of food in the pharmacy.
If the market is going to resolve the food desert problem we have to have markets that can be reached by small, "push cart" traders.

I thought Brittan had given up the imperial game. They have done no such thing.  To understand the world's situation, read the British  budget.
