The Spaghetti Taco, à la ‘iCarly’
An offbeat meal that began as a gag on the Nickelodeon series “iCarly” is now a true tween phenomenon.A vegetarian chilli taco would be delicious. Add good sharp cheese. Perfection. -

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.
Some is essential. More does not improve things.

Khosla, Sun Co-Founder, Uses Capitalism to Help Poor
Vinod Khosla invested heavily in a microfinance company, expecting it to profit poor people — and himself.
The venture capitalist owns and controls the venture. Here we may see a good one. He is not immortal. His corporations are. A venture capitalist can tell any story. His mind is his own and can change at any time. -

Coal Executive Pushes Back - Green Blog
“A Coal Executive Pushes Back - Green Blog - http://nyti.ms/aKPNrG”I do not have flash or java on this machine. If we stop mining coal, the disaster will not be our fault. This man wants his money now.The sooner we convert, The better will be our position to force a change in the world pattern. This man cannot see beyond his own interest.Carbon sequestration, clean coal, is a dirty joke. He knows it.Following your own beliefs means paying the price. He should be bankrupt.

The Spaghetti Taco, à la ‘iCarly’
“Spaghetti tacos?! WTF. (this, coming from a girl who made peanut butter chocolate chip butter sandwiches growing up.) http://nyti.ms/9L1CeB”Kids love carbs. Don't try to fight it. There are better things to eat.Let them run. Let them out. If it is not safe enough, fix the environment.Real wilderness with big carnivores is not for kids.Mostly the bear wants a free meal. Dogs help a lot. Wild places eat a few people every year. Being one of them is not worth it. Cities eat more but the statistics look better.

Asian-American Designers Ascend the Fashion Ladder
“Asian-American Designers Climb the #Fashion Ladder, http://nyti.ms/9nXZiO #america, #design”The sweat shops have been Chinese for many years. The fashion department at Parsons has been dominant in that industry since it was founded. 1925? They have their own building.

A Cob Oven and the 36-Hour Dinner Party
One fire, one goat, many cooks. A pyro-gastronomical experiment.Lovely. I want to participate. How much do you want to do? could we do our own? I am still learning. I have to keep things not very adventurous here. you know that bread is not difficult but it is subtle. -
The Terminator vs. Big Oil
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California is squaring off against two Texas oil companies over laws that aim to slow global warming and promote energy innovation. Voters will pick the winner next month.
Support a rather gutless half measure as opposed to an an attempt to open looting. I have to take the half measure but I don't have to like it.There is an old problem usually presented as:"My enemy's enemy is my . . ." filling the blank is the problem. The best I can do is: my possible ally. Two valued logic is insufficient. Motivation is very important. I do not like Arnold. Thomas Friedman has earned my distrust. The oil refiners have proven themselves to be solipsists. I trust them to act in their self interest. It is very much in the interest of the state of California to have a smaller, smarter, wiser population using as little fossil carbon as possible. This is in the interest of almost none of the Californians. -

All Together Now, to Each His Own Sync
“Will there be shared cultural experiences in the digital age?, asks @anandwrites http://nyti.ms/aXzbQW”This is the existential angst that grew in me as I learned of my ignorance as an aging child half a century ago. Before any net.Every author was and is a different experience of the world. None of them was mine. The world is still one. Places are different, the one from another. We who share a language share enough of the world. We are not marching morons. Turn off the sync. Look with your eyes.Hear with your ears. Feel with your skin. Smell the air. Share as you can. You are where you are now. Be here now. This is all and must be why. Desire drives us on. Why not?
You have updated at about 4:00What are you doing on this side of the continent?I love you. I desire you. I want to share life with you. Yes.
