WikiLeaks Founder on the Run, Chased by Turmoil
Julian Assange is used to being denounced, but now some of his own comrades are abandoning him for what they see as erratic and imperious behavior.
A trivial story.  He has done his work. The tools are there if there is more to do.

Libraries and Readers Wade Into Digital Lending
“Libraries and Readers Wade Into Digital Lending - http://nyti.ms/c2nXNJ NYTs”
"Publishers, inevitably, are nervous about allowing too much of their intellectual property to be offered free. Brian Murray, the chief executive of HarperCollins Publishers Worldwide, said Ms. Smith’s proposal was “not a sustainable model for publishers or authors.”"
      Greedy.

      start reading ( http://www.baen.com/library/ )

It works for them.  Some of their authors are not so sure.
The Hugo and Nebula nominees are mostly available on line for free.
More than I have time for these days.

    Health Care and the Campaign
Republicans and special interests are spreading so many distortions and lies about health care reform that it is little wonder if voters are anxious and confused.  copy and publish as broadly as possible.  Why has the Times left it so late?

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.

      I love you.
      I want a contract
and as much of your attention as propinquity can get me.
I want it as soon as it can be arranged.
Please tell me what my next step is and when I can take it.

What will they do in deep winter?
Meat and dairy but no fresh fruit or vegetables.
Bean sprouts and mushrooms?  Malted barley? Algae?

With Kinect, Microsoft Aims for a Game Changer
The Kinect lets players control games with their bodies and speech. Will it be the hit product Microsoft wants?
No.     I went into details.  Solo dance is profoundly theatrical. This will not even look good.  It does not teach the action, only the game.

It might work for dance instruction.  It will not teach a distant partner.
Has it the perception to teach balance and body position and head position?   It seems rather like learning dance from a book.
You could learn to be a field commander but why would it be better than a mouse?
I dont see it doing a first person shooter or any kind of personal combat.
Why would you bother for areal  or navel war.  siege is boring even in real life.

    What does this enable?

There is no way to recommend the Krugman column at this time.
It is very black in the future for our country.
