Friends, colleagues and competitors of the photojournalist Joao Silva — there are many people in the first two categories, very few in the second — struggled to make sense on Saturday of the news that he had been severely injured when he stepped o...
Explosives are very nonselective.  The trauma from an explosion is tricky and often hidden.  I am sorry another is gone.  The life is not very survivable and was his choice.

Indeed and the answer is not much.

P.R. Missteps Fueled Fiascos at BP, Toyota and Goldman
“P.R. Missteps Fueled Fiascos at BP, Toyota and Goldman - http://nyti.ms/9Zmi9U”  P.R. can't fix a physical problem.  The best it can do is mask one while it becomes an emergency and devolves into an irreparable condition.

    Health Care and the Campaign
Republicans and special interests are spreading so many distortions and lies about health care reform that it is little wonder if voters are anxious and confused.

In this integrated and automated global economy, we’re in the Age of Extra.
The election has not happened yet. Scolding will not make things better.

Just smile and think: "As I am now, soon you will be"
I am going to have to find more income.

Iran Is Said to Give Top Aide to Karzai Cash by the Bagful
A secret stream of Iranian cash intended to promote Iran’s interests in the Afghan presidential palace is seen as an effort to divide the United States and Afghanistan.

It is both. They are not mutually exclusive.  It also attacks our will to support an independent Afghanistan.
