I begin to see the problem. Bookmarked for further consideration.
Start up is easy. Continuing operation gets hairy rather quickly.
Private ownership does much but the redirection of efforts is demanding.

U.S. Says Genes Should Not Be Eligible for Patenting
The new position, a shift in longstanding federal policy, will impact medicine and the biotechnology industry.
Definitely in a good way. Treatment can be temporarily proprietary.
    Disease cannot.

Patrick Wilcken’s Biography of Claude Lévi-Strauss

I am profoundly suspicious of work that insists on authenticity in its subjects. It smacks of fiction. The question is do the subjects think.
The response is yes in all cases.  Then the question becomes how do they think and how is that different from how we think.
Philosophical inquiry is not clear even to its participants.

Why Evan Williams of Twitter Demoted Himself
Evan Williams may embody a classic Silicon Valley type: the entrepreneur with good ideas, but not the leader to execute a sophisticated business strategy.    I think I got it.  Thinking.

I would like to do well by doing good.  I intend to do that.  I would prefer the indirect approach.  Reasonable comfort and cleanliness.
      Good sanitation.  Good food.

U.S. Says Genes Should Not Be Eligible for Patenting
“U.S. Says Genes Should Not Be Eligible for Patenting - http://nyti.ms/9hxFHR - Huge and sanityesque news but I hope it doesn't impact innov”
Natural DNA sequences are not now eligible for patenting and issued patents on such are cancelled.  Good.  There is a bit less protection for the drug companies. They will have to face competition in research.  Not at all a bad thing.  We are back to the first developer of a new product or procedure to publish gets the patent. Expired patents were and should be in the public domain.  We need that kind of rationality in all of intellectual property.  The Mormons cannot be allowed improper monopolies.
