    Fear and Favor
Paul krugman is a depressing prophet.  The real trouble is he is accurate.
Media moguls have often promoted politicians who would serve their interests. But at Fox News, it isn’t stopping there.

Suicides Put Light on Pressures of Gay Teenagers
“Suicides Put Light on Pressures of Gay Teenagers - http://nyti.ms/9sBiNi #tylerclementi”
( http://www.youtube.com/user/itgetsbetterproject )  Here is the link. What we can do is put it where it needs to go.  More would get me arrested, prosecuted and convicted.  Probably you could get dragged in for giving advice if you did.  There are a lot of statements here. Look at the side bar.
The reports of attempts to "cure" are universally bad.

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.
These are only the wrapers. I admire them. If asked I will figure out how to make them.  My objective is to take them off and discover the delight of the wearer.  With you is where I want to be.  Time away is best spent remembering and planning.  I want some new memories.  I want to be pleasantly memorable. I want to stop inferring what you think and  have you tell me in your words.  If words will not do I will accept actions.  Let us start with words.

Mother seems to be headed for the century mark at least.  I want to pass that responsibility to a sibling.

Frenzy of Rape in Congo Reveals U.N. Weakness
Despite years of experience and billions of dollars, the peacekeeping force still seems to be failing at its task of protecting civilians.

Protecting civilians is not the peace keepers job.  They are there to separate armies.  Bandits are another problem. bandits and guerrillas are a continuum. It goes from mere survival to a government in exile.  Protecting civilians is a police function.  Effective police require a government.  Police without a government are the rabble of a warlord.  Peace keepers cannot distinguish them from the populace.  We never had any success with the nationalist Chinese.  The Republicans have never forgiven that.

In Scholastic Study, Children Like Digital Reading
“Many children want to read on digital devices, while parents worry technology will distract young bookworms.”
The art of the story does not translate well to other media. On line games do not have much story.  Social media is desperate for stories  Film or file, images are so clumsy that the story must be written before it is a graphic novel, also called a story board, the text carries the tale. The pictures only amplify.
Children discover this early.  Radio people know it. Television producers missed it somehow.  It cannot be that they are all illiterate in English.  The movies buy stories but have done horrible things to them.  Let story do its work.  The limping things that come out of studios will only make the children seek the ur texts.

No mention of lobbyists.  Treading lightly in the mind is the only way.
No lobotomies, please.  Alcohol is a terrible drug.

Companies Borrow at Low Rates, but Don’t Spend
Companies keep saving the money they’ve borrowed at low rates as they wait for the economy to improve, but it is unlikely to improve if they keep saving.
Yes.  This is the sound of deflation.  It is time to convert to cash if the taxes will not eat it all.  I am not so brave.

Going to the Bar, Pistol in Pocket, Is Legal in 4 States

This is just very late term abortion.  I am going to have to try to get a national plate.  I have seen them.

Cheap sex selection will make happier families and better cultures.
I would like to be able to endow a prize for it.  Ultra-sound is too late in the cycle.

I do not want to write the book, The Art of Nation Building.  It should be a companion volume to Sun Tzu's The Art of War.
Robert Heinlein kept at it.  Good yarns but not terribly practical.

      Third Party Rising
There’s a revolution brewing in the country. Could a third party be coming to challenge the Democrats and Republicans in 2012?
      No.
Rome died of fear. A pirate raid killed the republic and the emperors and praetorians extinguished competence. So would Thomas Friedman.

There is nothing else we can do directly.  The RCs wont change soon.
Neither will the others.  The problems come from the religions and their followers.
