Facebook Politicians Are Not Your Friends
The Web, with its potential to hold politicians accountable, has also given partisans license to find only the “facts” that fit their prejudices.  Always.

New Breed of Lawyers Races to Argue Before the Supreme Court
An increasingly influential number of lawyers specialize in Supreme Court cases, many serving free to draw prestige and paying clients to their firms.

"Many gay rights advocates opposed the lawsuit brought by David Boies and Theodore B. Olson challenging California’s ban on same-sex marriage, fearing that it would result in a negative decision if the issue reached the Supreme Court too soon."

Apple to Offer iPhone on Verizon, Ending Exclusivity with AT&T
After more than three years of using AT&T networks, Apple is said to be making an iPhone 4 for Verizon.  It is a separate phone.  My preferred solution is one phone that can use all networks.

Mean-Girl Bullying Trickles Down to Grade School
““Girl relational bullying has been under the radar. We realized we need to address this in kindergarten.” http://nyti.ms/9Iu7sa @vogelwarte”  Bullying starts very early, possibly at birth.  Most of us learn to control the impulse.

Fall Foliage Gums Up Subways in Brooklyn
Fallen leaves have slicked the rails of several open-air subway lines, including the Franklin Avenue shuttle in Brooklyn. And that means delays for riders.
The MTA is run by ignorant fools.  Hire some track workers and run the vacuum car as needed.  Fall happens very predictably.

Google Cars Drive Themselves, in Traffic
“Google Cars Drive Themselves, in Traffic - http://nyti.ms/ahKgRm”

The real problem is the suburb, A chimera of city and rural that has the advantages of neither and the problems of both.  Raising the cost of owning a car to that of owning a horse would be a great first step.
Here we have a car that is about as smart as a horse, just a bit easier to instruct.

Showing Gay Teens a Happy Future
A new online video channel is reaching out to teenagers who are bullied at school for being gay. The message: life really does get better after high school.

One way to deal with the macho on gay violence problem would be to segregate the obligates.  People know at an early stage (10 - 12) who the gay are. Put them in another place to grow into the best people they potentially are without the pressure to conform to strait expectations.  I would support total state sponsorship covering all costs of such institutions and their charges.  Let's make whole people of these, who are also our children.
