      Asian Odysseys

A trip without a plan looks counter-productive to me.
I would learn more sitting home reading Joseph Needham.

When I have read the published material,
a look see might be worthwhile.

    Teaching to the Text Message
Learning to write concisely is a valuable skill, and more in tune with the world’s conversation.
The long form will follow.  Vocabulary is not infinite. there are concepts that cannot be captured with a word.

AT&T to Buy T-Mobile USA for $39 Billion
AT&T announced on Sunday that it has agreed to buy T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telekom for $39 billion in cash and stock, in one of the biggest mergers since the onset of the financial crisis.
This looks like time for regulation.  The telco monopoly worked well for a century. Regulation was the key.

    Don’t Call Me, I Won’t Call You
In the last five years, adults have seemingly given up the telephone — land line, mobile, voice mail and all.
It is still an important safety feature. The cell system is telephone dependent. Voice mail is on the servers. The business is doing well.
