Search Optimization and Its Dirty Little Secrets
“How Google nabbed JC Penney: Search Optimization and Its Dirty Little Secrets - via @New York Times http://nyti.ms/fI4J3d”
Use the Wikipedia first. Then the Yellow Pages.  Google is trying to do commercial search and is doing better.  There is a great deal of intentional noise.

Japanese Scramble to Avert Meltdowns as Nuclear Crisis Deepens After Quake
Japanese officials said Sunday they presumed partial meltdowns had occurred at two crippled reactors and that they were facing serious cooling problems at three more.  Generator sets do not deal with shaking well.
There should be gas turbine units that could be flown in.  If there are not, it is a market that needs a supplier.  They are a bit fuel-hungry for base load but the Navy likes them for small ships.

Where are the navies?  These plants are coastal. Every ship is a power plant.

Starbucks’s Chief Tries to Recapture Its Heyday
Howard Schultz was humbled as Starbucks closed stores in the recession. Now he is thinking more like a manager and less like an entrepreneur.
I would guess that the US market is saturated and the rest of the world is not rich enough to afford the prices.

How Mutual Fund Managers Are Like Cigarette Makers - Bucks Blog

Not a good simile but I see their point.
I own equities directly not mutual funds.  I understand that exchange traded index funds are about as good as can be done in a brain dead investment.  The only thing that is lower risk are inflation protected government bonds. They will pay a bit over inflatiion but only a bit.

So don't have a custody fight if there is an open warrant on you.
If his lawyer is effective it will be very hard to convict him at this remove.
100 oz. of silver is about  $3,000.  Carrying at one to the acre is pretty good land in Idaho.  12 head is a hobby.  Ten calves at $250  food but no savings.  The irrigation district must pay.

Google’s 8-Point Plan to Help Managers Improve
“Google’s 8-Point Plan to Help Managers Improve - http://nyti.ms/goJyZr ”  Small group management is a rather different thing.  My father was a master of it.  I am the one who it did not work on.
      I have bookmarked their rules.

Yes, I do want to go.  I would like to let nature ravage things a bit more.  I once dreamed up a scheme to run laundromats in the townships of South Africa.  I learn that people really do like to be clean and will pay for water and a place to use it.  If it is a safe place They will pay more.  Absentee landlords do not do well in that kind of environment.
