    Separate and Unequal
More than a half-century after Brown v. Board of Education, segregated schools remain a handicap for poor students.
Once more. Vote.  Vote your interest.   Republicans have made themselves a class enemy.  There are more of us than there are of them.
I just want them to pay their way.
Many of our problems will vanish.

Libya Releases 4 New York Times Journalists
The four journalists, freed by the Libyan government on Monday, provided harrowing details about their capture.
I don't find it instructive.  They were gathering intelligence and were caught.

Living Beyond Your Means When You're Not Rich - Room for Debate
Easy consumer credit and a belief in social mobility have reduced the clamor for redistribution.
Redistribution is a canard.  What is needed is a living wage.  We can and should tax high incomes to pay our nations debts.  The workmen need a bigger slice of the corporate income.  This means labour unions and collective bargaining.  Vote.  Vote your interest.  A person without an income will be very glad of a very small one.

‘Mad Men’ Fifth-Season Date Is Uncertain
The debut of the new season is being delayed as negotiations between the network, the studio and the creator drag on.
Writers work continuously. They can't help themselves.  This is a fight over how to split the income.  Expanding the outline can be done almost as fast as it can be shot.  The rehearsal and learning time for the actors is the main part of the lag, it is a constant during production.

Interesting that there is venture money.  I may get that desperate.

Yes, we do try to maintain the separation.
Ending it also ends the separation of cultures.

Rising Wealth Inequality: Should We Care? - Room for Debate
Why do Americans seem unperturbed about the growing gap between the rich and the poor?

Because they think they will be among the rich.
