Japan Expands Evacuation Around Nuclear Plant
The chief cabinet secretary Yukio Edano confirmed earlier reports of an explosion at the Fukishima Daiichi nuclear plant, 150 miles north of Tokyo.
There is speculation but no real knowledge.

When to Buy or Sell? Don’t Trust Your Instincts
“Reminder of how our irrational investment thinking can lead us astray: Don’t Trust Your Instincts - http://nyti.ms/gAV1Py”
This article is preaching against panic buying and selling.
Its publication is a real warning that market professionals are worried.   I will see how Monday goes.  At the moment I think the bubble is as stable as it ever was.  I expect refuge buying as things go bad in the greater world.

in the last few years, coffee yields have plummeted here and in many of Latin America’s other premier coffee regions as a result of rising temperatures and more intense and unpredictable rains, phenomena that many scientists link partly to global warming
Time to move the plantings up the mountains.  There is quite a bit of up to go.

How very unperceptive of the author.  The hormones are raging as in years past but those niggling details called income  and security are not to be found.
This is an historical pattern.  When the children can't earn, they don't breed.

Oil or enemies? what a problem. How about we support neither side and buy oil from the winners.

There are bits of this story that make no sense. The conclusion is  not in question.  A small, light, gas engine car makes sense for me as does going slowly and gently.
Electricity has not the range and if I need gas why buy more battery and an electric transmission? I can buy a lot of gas for the price difference.  I can do a plug in charging system on a used hybrid.

    Sympathy for Japan, and Admiration
Our hearts are all with the Japanese today, after the terrible earthquake there – the worst ever recorded in Japan. But, having covered the 1995 Kobe earthquake (which killed more than 6,000 people and left 300,000 homeless) when I lived in Japan ...

MOMA needed to look at graphic design. I just hope they don't stop.
I use times gothic because I am used to it and it reads easily.

It is also in all the type collections.  Fonts can be fun but reading is the object.  Cooper black has little to recommend it.
