@12:05, @13:20, 05/04/11 8 16

I am guessing that you are in or near Tuscaloosa.  They do need the help.
Remember to call on the AEC and the DOE.  I am uncertain who runs Muscle Shoals.  Huntsville is another quiet installation of the DoD.  Your chart is probably very good.

Television Ownership Drops in U.S., Nielsen Reports
“Four years after teaching this @boxee - NYT gets the story! Television Ownership Drops in U.S., Nielsen Reports - http://nyti.ms/jukUbR”
No computer literate is unwillingly without television.  Receiver boards are available.  The broadcast signal though more line of sight than VHF is much more noise immune.  Directionality can be a problem.  Directional antennas at the top end of UHF are very effective.    The businesses like to insist on satellite or cable.
The income looks so very good on their bottom lines.

The article plainly states that fructose is toxic. Table sugar, sucrose, breaks in the gut to fructose(toxic) and glucose(non-toxic)in fifty fifty proportion.  Sugar is toxic.

      Farewell to Geronimo
      “Farewell to Geronimo - http://nyti.ms/k7PAyE”
Osama Bin Laden learned his general-ship from the pakistanis and the CIA in the battle against the Russian Soviets.  As we learned to our sorrow he learned it very well.  As he was a Saudi Fighting Soviet invaders in a Pashtune  nation, Afghanistan, we need to look at his loyalties.
As I see it he fought for Islam, Specifically the Wahabi sect.  A famously illiberal set of reactionaries of the Suni flavour.
The Afghans are of the rival orthodoxy Shia. His loyalty was not to any extant nation but to Sharia Islam as a whole.  He very properly saw the United States as a profound threat to what he believed in.  He acted against that threat as effectively as he could imagine.
Conservative Islam will continue to so act.
We are looking at a conflict of cultures.
Defeat will be the destruction of one or both.

Bin Laden Raid Revives Debate on Value of Torture
The raid that led to Bin Laden’s death has raised anew the issue of using torture to gain intelligence.

The shrub's people would like to be not guilty.  I cannot make them so.
I do not think they should be relieved of responsibility for reopening a scabby unhealed wound.  The skills of torture are part of our history and must be dealt with by each of us.  Bringing them forward into our present lives was an unforgivable act.  I am in no mood to absolve them.

I have yet to see a Science Fiction Movie that did not disappoint and depress me.  Perhaps this one will be different.  Fantasy movies can be great fun.  They fail intentionally to deal with reality.

I am very sorry it was necessary.  As he points out, the general culture has features that every child deserves.  There are others that should not be passed on to any child.  The skill and understanding required to teach in early childhood are not trivial and deserve compensation.

      “Report Implicates Officials in #Kyrgyzstan Violence - http://nyti.ms/jMux7T #freekg #Osh”
A race riot is nothing to be proud of.  The only real solution is to integrate the two components into one culture.  If that does not happen there will be explosions every other generation at least.
They must never learn the lessons of the last explosion.  The way that happens is for the veterans to be dead.  Seems to take about forty years.  Maybe more now.

The Death of a Terrorist: A Turning Point?
President Obama’s announcement Sunday night about Bin Laden’s death produced an outpouring of reaction. But has the killing of the most wanted man in terrorism made the world safer?
No.  He was just a retired general.  The cultural conflict has no resolution.

Despite Maureen Dowd's insistence there is no justice in this death.  It was an assassination and a martyrdom.
      I would deny him that.

    Cool Hand Barack
President Obama pulls off an execution of the execrable Osama that would make Mario Puzo proud, with plenty of room for a sequel.
It is still an assassination.  Murder is not a nice political tool and totally ineffective in  religious matters.
