With Eye on Climate Change, Chicago Prepares for a Warmer Future
City planners in Chicago are choosing different types of trees and pavement materials after climate scientists have advised them to prepare for a wetter, steamier future.
I do suggest they check back with the forecaster. hot summers, cold winters.

      “Ken Cuccinelli v. Climate Skeptics - http://nyti.ms/fqkhLe”
      A very misleading headline.
"Other climate contrarians like John Christy, an atmospheric scientist at the University of Alabama well known for his minority view that carbon dioxide emissions pose little threat to the climate, warn that Mr. Cuccinelli’s effort to subpoena research documents in the midst of a heated scientific debate could open the door to a dangerous politicization of science."
I will point out that it works with Evolution.

The permeable pavers I wonder about.  The trees will do better. So will the weeds. "God bless the grass . . ."

Yes.   I think they are not thinking through the problem yet.
It will not just be warmer, the price of energy will be very high.
CFCs will be unobtainable.  There is a great deal of built plant that must be reworked or removed.  Discourage sprawl now. Plan for rail.
      The big box must go.

When the Internet Thinks It Knows You
Personalized information filters pose a threat to democracy.
Eli Pariser has a real point.  Everyone has areas they would just as soon hold at a distance and a few that are actively ignored. I try to know what can make my life miserable and what I can do to avoid a miserable life.
There is a lot that I can't work on because I am working on other things.

I suspect but I do not know that the net has gotten beyond government control. If not now, very soon.
Governments can turn it off locally. That blinds everyone equally.
If they communicate internationally, net users will find ways past the censors.
