That slogan is meant to refer not just to the crunchiness of the pickles, but also to the character of the stork, which first appeared in television commercials in 1974 and was modeled largely after Groucho Marx (“Vlasic is the best tasting pickle I ever hoid.”), with the character holding the pickle as if it were a cigar.

Google Lobbies Nevada To Allow Self-Driving Cars
“First nuclear testing, then legal prostitution, now this: Google Lobbies Nevada To Allow Self-Driving Cars - http://nyti.ms/jZZuRH”
Even in Nevada it is a bad idea.
Google’s autonomous vehicle ambitions hint at an emerging vehicle-industrial complex in Silicon Valley. Mercedes, Volkswagen and other carmakers have laboratories in the region, I.B.M. has a battery development initiative, and the Nummi plant in Fremont, once a joint venture of General Motors and Toyota, has been reopened by Tesla.
Electric cars should be happening now.  The engine manufacturers and the motor fuel lobbies see a reduction in power there.  Paying for the change is most of our problem.

I will say after Voltaire's Candide that I must cultivate my garden.

Ex-Peace Corps Volunteers Speak Out on Rape
Former volunteers are going public about being sexually assaulted while serving, prompting a Congressional hearing on Wednesday and a pledge from the agency to change.

The "blame the victim" attitude is world wide.  I am not at all surprised that it permeates the support staff.  For the US to charge in as avenging angels is equally intolerable.   Arming the volunteers would destroy the image and run counter to the charter of the agency.
The only measure I can think of is a much more knowledgeable assignment group, both of the volunteers and the situations to which the volunteers are sent.  More and better teaching for the volunteers would not be amiss.
No matter what measures are taken before the fact some of the volunteers will be victimized.  There should be effective rehabilitation for them.
Rehabilitation is a black art to me.  I think it starts with listening carefully.  Very early the possible physical rehabilitation must be done. Perhaps it continues with explaining the broader situation. Pointing to opportunities to work toward change of the victimizing culture are not out of order.  Enabling the victim is part of the process.

That market has not been part of Microsoft's culture.  I doubt the match will be a happy one or long endure.
Skype has just made an enormous profit again.
