      The Limits of Military Force
“The Limits of Military Force - http://nyti.ms/le5PHI”
"Madeleine Albright famously asked Colin Powell, “What's the point of having this superb military that you’ve always been talking about if we can’t use it?” The ugly truth is that military force can be very effective when the purpose is to kill people and break things. However, its utility is much more limited when it comes to tasks that are poorly suited to its nature."
A way that would work to remove Colonel Quadafi  is assassination.
The last time we trained a south Asian death squad we taught Ossama Bin Laden.
Assassins are monsters.  Serial killers for politics.

      The Big Society
      “The Big Society - http://nyti.ms/lNcsR2”
"But, even so, Cameron is doing something interesting. No other government is trying so hard to tie public policy to the latest research into how we learn and grow."

I don't buy any of it.
The economic policies are profoundly and unnecessarily deflationary.
The educational policies are destructive at all levels.
Great Britain would be right in there with the rest of Europe if they did not have their own currency.
