    Alcohol and Exercise
Can regular exercise avert or undo some of the harm associated with binge drinking? Perhaps even better, could exercising beforehand pre-emptively reduce your urge to overindulge in alcohol later? Or does exercising actually drive you to drink? Th...
    Short answer: no.
"For now, it might be encouraging to know that if you did overimbibe during the holidays, the decision-making portions of your brain should still be functioning adequately enough to tell you to get out and, as you know you should, exercise."
I am not averse to alcohol but I have not bought any for years.

Gibbs to Leave as White House Press Secretary
10:30 a.m. | Updated Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary and close confidante to President Obama, said Wednesday that he was stepping down to become an outside political adviser to the president and his re-election campaign.
It did not occur to me that Obama might be a Republican. I have been listening to the news.

      Q&A: The Piedmont in Italy
We have been invited to stay in a farmhouse owned by an English family in October, in Calamandrana, Italy, which is in the vicinity of Asti. Do you have any suggestions for sightseeing? Are there any wineries we can visit? Is Turin far? I kn...
I know nothing of the Piedmont.  I ended up hating that part of history  of  art. Google earth covers it as does google maps.

To Beat Back Poverty, Pay the Poor
It works but one can't get that through the heads of Republicans.  The payments we have tried in the past were small and misdirected.  Paying for grades seems to work.  Better program, better payment might work.
