    Bloodshed and Invective in Arizona
The state should now take the lead in quieting the voices of intolerance and imposing sensible controls on guns.
One could wish it.  I do not expect it to happen.

Twitter Puts Spotlight on Secret F.B.I. Subpoenas
“Credit to Twitter for standing up http://nyti.ms/ffSO1Q Big Girl's Blouse Award to Facebook for NOT standing up? #WikiLeaks #Chicken”
The FBI needs to just say no.
"The government cites national security as the reason the contents of the letters — even their existence — are kept secret. The F.B.I. is trying to prevent plots as they are being hatched, according to Valerie Caproni, the general counsel of the agency, and thus needs stealth."
This is unconstitutional. It is a second amendment violation. Speech is almost always allowed. Thought is not regulated.

      The State government disagrees.
The editorial error starts here: " His paranoid Internet ravings about government mind control place him well beyond usual ideological categories."  Unfortunately he is only slightly outside the boundaries of the tollerated.

This is our problem. Our drug policy is insane. The damage is in Mexico and south.

The 41 Places to Go in 2011
From the beaches of Mexico to the wilds of Kurdistan, the places on this year’s list take you to the end of the world and back.
The place I want to go is with You.  Most places I can learn something useful.  Hotel lobbies are not the best place to learn.

To Beat Back Poverty, Pay the Poor
“To Beat Back Poverty, Pay the Poor - http://nyti.ms/dVS4DB It seems like a simple enough solution. Worth trying Kingston and across Ontario.”
      We have tried it repeatedly.
The poor will not then kill themselves for pennies and they tend to become rich in new ways.
      Intolerable for the wealthy.

Christina Green, 9, Tucson Shooting Victim, Was a 9/11 Baby
Christina Green was special from birth because she was born on Sept. 11, 2001, and was proud of it, her mother said, because it lent a note of hope to that terrible day.

    Bathos is an acceptable weapon
