      How to Speak Nanny
“Great article on the topic from the NY Times: "How to Speak Nanny" - http://nyti.ms/bSkmpY”
Domestic service is new to the upper middle class.  The group has only just become sufficiently wealthy to hire domestic things done.
My parents never had the income to support "Help". I have not had it either.  The culture that did ended with the great depression.  The new group that can pay those costs are products of the GI bill or the children of those first generation professionals.   We either need to import buttlers and house keepers or we need to train those who will manage a domestic staff.  Service is an old set of skills that have been mostly lost as has service management.

      Too Long Ignored
“Too Long Ignored - http://nyti.ms/b3o4m9 "A tragic crisis of enormous magnitude is facing black boys and men in America"”
I don't know how to attack this problem.  It is, to a great extent, The result of consistent expectations. The ruined cannot be easily separated from the domesticated and both must be separable from the honourable people, both black and white.  Show me a solution and I grab it enthusiastically.

    The Texas Omen
Another conservative economic miracle bites the dust, with implications for the nation.  No news here, if the facts don't fit the theory, the facts must be wrong.  Ok, the theory is a long fall will not kill.

New ‘Huckleberry Finn’ Edition Does Disservice to a Classic
A new edition of “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” that replaces the word “nigger” with “slave” does the original Twain novel a disservice.
    The copyright owner should sue.

    Pakistani Hard-Liners' War Against Sufism
KASUR, Pakistan — In Pakistan’s heartland, holy men with bells tied to their feet close their eyes and sway to the music. Nearby, rose petals are tossed on tombstones. Free food is distributed to devotees.
Arizona should understand.  The Wahabi  think of themselves as puritans.
The sooner we butt out, the better.  These folks want to have a religious war.  Grab the nukes and scram.  India will have to keep hands off too.

Play helps develop crucial skills, advocates say as they try to pull children and their parents away from the screen.
Push the kids out the door.  We will have to deal firmly with the monsters.

    Georgia’s Hope Scholarships Threatened
The state’s popular Hope college scholarship program, which promises free college tuition to students with a B-average, is facing cuts because of a budget shortfall.
The wrong treatment.  Just collect the progressive taxes.
