Gay or Straight, Teenagers Aren’t So Different
“Gay or Straight, Teenagers Aren’t So Different - http://nyti.ms/hJEpbo”
Yes and no. There are degrees of gay.  The very gay are very different.  It is not relationship anxiety with their gay peers that bothers them  it is the rejection by the rest of their worlds. Their transition from Jail bait to young members of gay society is a great relief and the subject of the Trevor project.
Adults have not been permitted to speak with them about adult joys.  That would be criminal behaviour. They can and do speak about the joys they found after transitioning out of legal childhood. Their universal message is that things are better with knowledgeable community.
The Trevor project is right and no threat to those that do not need it.

I really wish them the best of luck.
I wonder what the lumpiness of the income streams looks like?

In the digital age, the printed book has received a stay of execution from an unlikely source: designers.
Treating books thus is insulting to them and their creators.

In India, Microcredit Has Suffered a Black Eye
As with other initiatives meant to alleviate poverty on a large scale, turning rhetoric into success has been hard.
There is an easy confusion of money lending and microlending.
They are not the same thing.  The difference is the interest rate and the lack of physical security in microlending.

On the Electoral Map, A Few Pins Might Move
Odds are President Obama may have already lost six electoral votes and his re-election campaign hasn’t even begun.
The Republican enthusiasm for torturing the electorate will fix things.
There will be no legislation in the next two years.  We may even see a "bonus army".
