U.S. Companies Press for Repatriation Holiday
Some large corporations are pushing for a tax holiday to bring back offshore profits, but the economic benefits were limited the last time such a break was given.
Just say no.  It is the stockholders money.  It is not enough to reflate the housing bubble.  The stock holders already have houses.

Clarence Clemons, Much More Than Springsteen’s Sideman
Wielding his saxophone with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Clarence Clemons declared that the band was sharing rock ’n’ roll’s black heritage, not plundering it.
I have no interest in this fight.  "If it sounds good it is good."

Roundworm Could Unlock Secrets of the Human Brain
Studying the nervous system of the roundworm is a promising approach for understanding the human brain.
The round worm has taught us a great deal.
It has taught us that the brain is a mechanism.
It has taught us that we are stuck with the black box approach to the human mind for many years to come.
Psychopharmacology  is far too blunt an approach to treat any  maladapted behaviour.

F.D.A. Confronts Challenge of Monitoring Imports
The F.D.A. released a special report on how to deal with effectively inspecting the growing flood of imported food and drugs coming into the United States.
The FDA must do the best it can under the circumstances.
As things go several hundred citizens will get sick or dead and the cause will be found to be imported.  We will then get a crash program and a lot of noise about homeland security and foreign plotters.
In the meantime eat locally grown products from trusted sources.
