      What Is It About 20-Somethings?
“What Is It About 20-Somethings? - http://nyti.ms/bsqRxP :: Certainly resonates with me as a 20-something.”
". . . on society, built on the expectation of an orderly progression in which kids finish school, grow up, start careers, make a family and eventually retire to live on pensions supported by the next crop of kids who finish school, grow up, start careers, make a family and on and on." This never happened after the civil war.  We did our best to destroy the tradition of hereditary aristocracy then and have laboured mightily to rebuild it since.  The sin of FDR was his recognition that society would self destruct by institutionalized privilege.   The last seventy years have been an effort, now almost successful, to erase that realization.

    What I Learned at School
If we want to understand how much teachers are worth, we should remember how much we were formed by our own schooldays.
They tried.  They had not the tools.

To Save Itself, Detroit Is Razing Itself

When the money leaves, the people follow.
Brain death is a terrible problem for the living.
When thinking of this city, think of a hermit crab.
Boosting just does not work on the dead.

Cellphone Radiation May Alter Your Brain. Let’s Talk.
There are a number of things that cellphone users can do to reduce the potential impacts of radiation on their brains.
The simplest is to turn the thing off.
An  82 kg person is about a square meter front or back.  Sunlight is about a kilowatt per square meter of electromagnetic radiation.  1000/82=12.2
Call it 7.5 times the radiation limit for a cell phone by lying in the sun on a clear day.   Not really a fair comparison.  A sunburn is much more damaging.  A sunbeam certainly does alter the brain.  I like the effect.

An obvious fix is the multiple identity.  A child protection program.
The problem is an attack on the virtual identity hurts the physical person.

‘The Pale King’ Is Sold Before Its Promotional Date
“‘The Pale King’ Is Sold by Amazon before Indies even receive book. Publisher clueless response 'what's the big deal?' http://nyti.ms/eul0Ku”
Prepublication copies have  leaked into the market as long as reviews have been written.  Mass marketing prepublication is a new development.  A "clever" tactic.  I would suspect a low grade product by a "prominent" author.

That is not a plan.  Perhaps it is a prayer.
