There is an effort to change architecture going on at Pratt.
Followers of fashion have fastened on what they are calling "Parametric Design".
I can see this in engineering. It starts with the proposition that an object is completely understood. A change in any aspect will influence the whole in ways that are understood and can be solved and will define a different result.
The followers of fashion are wrong in their assumptions. Human beings are not well understood in this or any other way.
The attempt to understand them and the world they make in the world they find is the entire burden of culture. One resorts to an exclusive subset at ones peril.
