Political dress is as pervasive as it is silly.

How Little Sleep Can You Get Away With?
For most of us, eight hours of sleep is excellent and six hours is no good, but what if we split the difference?
There is enough sleep and not enough sleep. The difference is negligible.
    There is nothing to split.

Ahem! Are You Talking to Me? (Or Texting?)
In the digital revolution, it’s become fashionable to be rude.

Millions of Gallons of Hazardous Chemicals Injected Into Wells, Report Says
Oil and gas companies put toxic chemicals into wells in a drilling process known as hydraulic fracturing, according to a Congressional study.
Congress intentionally left a gaping hole in the regulatory structure.
That hole must be removed.  The studies have been done.  Any tool that will stop the rush after extractive wealth must be used.
The price of fossil carbon must be above the cost of replacing that carbon.
The extractors do not get the money.

      Wrongful Foreclosures
      “Wrongful Foreclosures - http://nyti.ms/fJHGWz”
The prospect of systemic collapse is very frightening to everyone who thinks about what it would mean.
In spite of the best efforts of the regulators to stave off systemic collapse the bankers seem determined to have one.  I want to come out the other side healthy with a place to sleep and the continued prospect of eating enough and staying warm and dry.

    Is Sitting a Lethal Activity?
A growing body of research suggests that watching your diet and exercising a few times a week is not enough to offset sedentary time.
Standing desks are easy.  Use a tall stool for foot relief.

Enough sleep is needed. The number is individually determined.
Less than enough is very destructive.

That it makes us fat is something we take for granted. That it might also be making us sick is harder to accept.

    The Power of Mockery
Youth movements have the power to overthrow dictators, reduce crime, improve calculus scores and stop teenagers from smoking.

Here is a set of tools for social manipulation.  Getting them to the people we want to help is the next problem.  Having those people survive the initial stages of the change of their very hostile environment will require other tools.  Martyrs are lost to the cause.  Very few are needed.
