NYSE Euronext Merger Plan Tunes Out Big Board Rules

I suspect that money has changed hands.
I will be somewhat surprised if any deal is allowed to proceed.
If the sale takes place, I will have real questions about the financial future.  I have those now but can think of no better bet.

      I am not frenzied.
I have never understood the attraction of a sale on remainders.
They are things I was doing fine without.
I would rather have a lower price when I want to buy.

Title IX is a blunt implement.
It would be better to add a subsidy for press coverage of women's athletics.  If they go, they will write.  Get the press to attend.

An obituary for a career.  Another sad death from drugs.

A New Generation’s Vanity, Heard Through Hit Lyrics
After a computer analysis of three decades of hit songs, psychologists report finding a statistically significant trend toward narcissism and hostility in popular music.
I have not done the analysis.
I agree that The finding is real.
If the child is not the main event, child protective services may remove the child.
    This makes parenting very demanding.
Children are aware of the situation. That exacerbates the problem.

    The Limits of School Reform
What happens outside of school matters just as much as what happens inside.
    We know that.
Ultimately what is required is a public boarding school for children in impossible circumstances.  It must not become "Juveile Hall" or some other adjunct of the courts.  The residents must be permitted but not required to go home on weekends and holidays. Library cards can be required and computers supplied.  After prep the residents are free to go out  until dinner.  With permission, evening expeditions are allowed.
It could perhaps be sold as shelter for the citizen children of captured illegal immigrants.

      I use Linux.
It is very satisfactory on security.  Most games are enabled on it.
Linux is noted for its stability. The  power grid glitches and mozilla gets into trouble.
