Baghdad Christians Gather a Week After Attack

I am an agnostic atheist. No worshippers of any god get special dispensation from me.  The line:"Kill them all.  Let their god sort them out."gets a sympathetic response from me.  No faith is worth dying or killing for.  Pontius Pilot has my deepest sympathy.

Flash Sales Offer Deep Discounts on Wine
Flash sales on wine, in which bottles are sold at steep discounts for just a day or two, now account for about 25 percent of the overall online wine market.
This says to me that the market is saturated and the buyers are in control.  Not a business to enter under ordinary circumstances.

Just say no.  The best advertising is great food in a pleasant atmosphere.  If that is not flooding your seating,  move or cut your prices.

      Unicef’s Idea
“This Editorial in the NYT discusses counterintuitive and compelling new research by UNICEF for reducing child mortality - http://nyti.ms/dlCD8Y”
"Unicef officials do not want to completely abandon the old approach. They are arguing that the new data proves that there is a better chance of reaching the Millennium Challenge goals — the deadline is 2015 — if more of that aid is invested in desperately poorer areas."
I wondered if they had considered initial conditions.  I see they have.

Get a real computer of your own and send me an email.  A rooted B&N Colour Nook will give you a G3 connection.  You can grab a free email, AOL has a good spam filter though they have a number of inhouse contracts. Those are finite.  A spaminator.com return address  guarantees no attention.  A very useful thing when dealing with realestate salesmen.

Cisco Shuts Down Flip, Its Video Camera Unit
The camera had been a great hardware start-up success, but it lost traction as the smartphone came on the scene.
The fix was obvious. The contractual obligation that prevented its implementation less obvious.  Responsibility is completely hidden.

Not news to me.  I don't know what to call the overwhelming urge to get ahead.  I see it bloom every spring and fall with the new drivers.
There are always a few out of season.

More fossil carbon and just different "oil".
      More greenhouse gas.
      More global warming.
Until fossil carbon is prohibitively expensive we will have no alternative.

OIL does very strange things to governments.
These rebels had better get themselves organized or we will see unending chaos.
That would be good for us and terrible for them.
British India was one result of such a situation.
Oil companies make very destructive governments.

I have rooted my Pandigital Novel tablet.  It will go to project gutenberg and other such places.  It is now much more useful.  I am considering signing up for the android market place.  I will look for the free portal first.
