The rich are making war on the poor. There is no sign of an assault on privilege by the former middle class. The old poor are far too desperate to attempt a takeover. Eating is a concern.

I feel absolutely no guilt about my use of the house subscription. The subscription supports the medium. The content is advertising supported and has been for many years. The price pays for the paper it is printed on. If one of two things were to occur I would buy my own subscription. I establish a separate household, or paid advertising disappears. We supported Newsday for far longer than they earned that support.
