Charles Ferguson Dissects the Wall Street Meltdown

I was rather following along.  I know a slightly different history but I will look at this.  It pleased Krugman.

People keep telling me this story.  A good deal of my fun is doing things without these expensive toys.  I see the kids get into trouble with them on a regular basis.

Dan Feyer, the Crossword Wizard Who Is Fastest of All
“Impressive! Dan Feyer, the Crossword Wizard Who Is Fastest of All - http://nyti.ms/grYEtT”
My sister is very fast. She knocks them off in ink.  My mind is not organized that way.  She and my youngest brother duel in Scrabble. The score regularly tops 600 points.  I would think that crosswords are an open set.  with some 8,000,000 words in the OED and most of them with multiple definitions no limit on multiple appearances in the same puzzle about 50 words in a puzzle. No requirement on adjacency except crossing words must share the letter at the crossing. There is a really big pool.

Documents Confirm Shipments of Tanks to Sudan
Arms transfers to southern Sudan, which will soon vote on secession, were revealed when Somali pirates found the weapons on a captured freighter.
I agree, The Obama administration has no policy on Sudan.  The continued anarchy in North East Africa, a frontier of Islam, is destructive of the US goal of peace. Khartoum is not allowed to triumph but a stunning defeat would be as bad for the prospects of peace with Islam.  George W. Bush did incalculable damage.

Remembering laughing late into the night with John Lennon.
I remember his music. I did not know the man.

Is Julian Assange Helping the Neocons?
If he is it is inadvertent.  I think he is a democrat rather than an autocrat.

Apple Ban on IPhone Donation Apps Anger Nonprofits
The iPhone directs prospective donors out of the donation app and to the organization’s Web site, making the process more cumbersome.
    No accidental donations.
