What if WikiLeaks got hold of a cable from China’s embassy in Washington? Here’s some of the “good news” that may have been sent home to Beijing.  Too broad a brush.

Art Linkletter, TV Host, Dies at 97
Mr. Linkletter hosted the popular shows “People Are Funny” and “House Party” in the 1950s and 1960s.
I enjoyed his antics as a ten year old. That was enough.

I don't want to see trolls as human. I don't want to see them. They do not seem technologically sophisticated.  A spam type filter should work.

F.T.C. Online Privacy Plan Seeks ‘Do Not Track’ Option
An F.T.C. framework would let consumers decide if they wanted Web sites and advertisers to track them, a potentially profound change for the online ad industry.
This is not going to happen.

A Steve Martin Event That Disappointed the 92nd Street Y
A conversation with Steve Martin at the 92nd Street Y resulted in a refund being offered to all audience members. Apparently, he and his interlocutor talked about art too much.

“Big newspaper circulation decline, except WSJ, Denver Post & Seattle Times who lost competitors - http://bit.ly/1zE4Um”
News papers have depended on advertising revenue for about a century.  It is much easier to audit copies printed than to count virtual views. Virtual views are less valuable.

“From WikiChina - http://nyti.ms/hEsAWi - record numbers of U.S. high school students are now studying Chinese, which should guarantee us a steady supply of cheap labor that speaks our language”
Thomas Friedman has an active but not very creative imagination.
The problem should get fixed well before people here get that desperate.
