      Thanks for the Tax Cut!
“Thanks for the Tax Cut! (Ny Times op-ed by Larry David - http://nyti.ms/fcdcGi”  Larry David notices that the benefit of a taxcut is not large.

A Scientist, His Work and a Climate Reckoning
As the political debate over global warming drags on, the Mauna Loa Observatory shows carbon dioxide levels rising relentlessly, and accelerating.
A review statement. Multilateral progress is not possible. We must take unilateral action.
I suggest a tax on fossil carbon domestically and a tariff on fossil carbon based energy and products and products of that energy at our borders.

E-Mail Use Falls as Young Chat and Text
Visitors to e-mail sites are in decline, and companies like Facebook now offer messaging focused on immediacy.
Newspapers did not kill books. radio did not kill newspapers. Television tried to kill radio and made a valient effort. Radio has recovered though it lost its writers. The programmers are learning still. The Internet has not killed anything. Media add.

African Farmers Losing Land to Investors
Investors from both inside and outside of Africa have made deals to lease or buy land in a number of African nations.
More revolution.  If the Highland Clearances had not had the Americas as a safety valve those troubles would have been much worse.  The Irish troubles restarted with the famine.
This is going to be very messy.

Most of it is classic performance. A clever script would help.

Banks Accused of Illegally Breaking Into Homes
Critics said a tide of lawsuits accusing banks of wrongfully breaking into homes reinforced their claim that the foreclosure process is fundamentally flawed.
It is not the foreclosure process, it is the banks feeling exempt.
If we do not end that feeling, the trauma will be extensive.
