U.S. Pulling Back in Afghan Valley It Called Vital

"And it is an emotional issue for American troops, who fear that their service and sacrifices could be squandered. At least 103 American soldiers have died in or near the valley’s maze of steep gullies and soaring peaks, according to a count by The New York Times, and many times more have been wounded, often severely."
Emotions are not policy or tactics.
We have squandered more than enough on this tantrum.
The war in Afghanistan is at an end.  We have no vital interests there.

Madison, Wis., is looking a lot like Baghdad in 2003, with government officials exploiting fiscal crises for fun and profit.

Lots of noise but no hope.
The Palestinians are a genetically Jewish as the Israelis. Raise the children as Jews and send them to Israel.  Then sue in Israeli courts for the ancestral lands.  They will win and the problem will be solved at the price of Muslim dominance.

Roger E. Ailes was the executive who Judith Regan said encouraged her to lie to investigators, affidavits indicate.
A great deal of dirty laundry is turning up in odd corners.
A failed coup has big consequences.
I do hope they are big enough. The world would be better without Rupert Murdock.

Digital video is better. Copies do not cost. A copy in the wrong hands destroys the value of other copies. Netflix controls copying. Destroying their copy protection would destroy the industry.
It would be worth doing.  I don't want that much grief.

Investigation Puts Porsche-Volkswagen Merger at Risk
“Investigation Puts Porsche-Volkswagen Merger at Risk - http://nyti.ms/fi0kk4”
Games stock market participants play.  There are good reasons not to play the short side.  There are good reasons to be out of the market.  It is a big casino and the house always gets paid.  Most of the rules on the long side are intended to limit losses to the invested money. Long is betting that the price of the asset will rise or that dividend will make it worthwhile to own the asset.  Short is betting that the price will fall.  Losses on shorts are not limited.
This merger will or will not happen.
The legal case is about betting losses.
      Pay or be bankrupt.
