Regulation Is Lax for Water From Gas Wells
A method to extract more natural gas can produce wastewater that is often laced with highly corrosive substances.
"Environmentalists say using natural gas will help slow climate change because it burns more cleanly than coal and oil."Two more lies. It is fossil carbon. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. It is good that there is less soot but the cleanliness of the production does not really matter.  Where is the vaunted fact checking of this institution?
Regulatory capture must be fighting words.
Hydrofracking has been demonstrated to be a disastrous practice. There are large areas that have become uninhabitable as a result of this extractive industry.  I see no way to remedy the damage resulting from the practice.  End the drilling. Remove the population and allow  The area to regenerate.  Uses that will not be affected by the toxic nature of the environment may be permitted.
Stopping the practice is the only option.

People will pay to get better.  They will not pay to stay healthy.

        The Contribution Scam
David Cay Johnston has a terrific piece up about the nonsense of comparing government workers to private-sector counterparts by claiming that the government pays for more of their benefits. As he says,

Regulation Is Lax for Water From Gas Wells
“Oh, if only we had even less regulation, the free market would just make the pollution...disappear! Its magic! http://nyti.ms/gIcm36”

      Regulation seems to be absent.
The regulators work for the industry.
It is too late to regulate. A shut-down and clean up in so far as that is possible is our path.
The radiological threat is minor compared to the chemical assault.
