    Shock Doctrine, U.S.A.
Madison, Wis., is looking a lot like Baghdad in 2003, with government officials exploiting fiscal crises for fun and profit.

“Blogs Wane as the Young Drift to Sites Like Twitter - http://nyti.ms/g61V0I Increasingly social media displacing older technology!!”
The technology remains the same.  The software is growing.  There is no change of principles.  Mobs are more diffuse but still are mobs.

      Big Food
“Another reason to think SMALL: Big Food - http://nyti.ms/5XYMAe”
Microbrewing is doing well. Farmers markets likewise.  Urban sprawl food deserts will suffer as long as lazy minds allow them to do so.
Big food depends on monocroping, a recipe for disaster.

Libya Revolt Spreads as Qaddafi Tightens Grip in Capital

The question is: Will it get to civil war?
Typically not. The President for life gets on a plane out and the guard forces try to disperse as bandits.
He may persist until the embargo tightens.  I assume that the foreign exchange is already in Switzerland.  The mercenaries may turn on him when the local hard currency runs low.
