Obama's Dinner with Tech Executives Is a Mystery
“Obama's Dinner with Tech Executives Is a Mystery - http://nyti.ms/eUPQhk”If his goals are as stated he is going at it the wrong way. There should be a fossil carbon tax applied at the US border and the surface of the earth. It should be independent of the form. Limestone pays along with natural gas and coal and oil. There in addition should be a graduated tax on energy. Use more per unit time, pay more. per kilowatt equivalent.

Empire at the End of Decadence
This is not a time to scrimp on nonsecurity discretionary spending. This is a time to embrace it.Here are the notes, still not good.Remember that the Republicans have been working at this for a lifetime and more. FDR died 65 years ago. -

Sacred Cows, Angry Birds
When it comes to cutting budgets, Big Bird is fair game. But there’s definitely something sacred about the Daytona 500.If this gets played right it will throw the Republicans out of the Wisconsin government. Not a moment too soon. -

Wisconsin Leads Way as Workers Fight State Cuts
The unrest in Wisconsin this week over Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to cut the bargaining rights and benefits of public workers is spreading to other states. If you can't win at the bargaining table you can't win. Send them out on strike. At least they won't be getting paid by their employers. -
Protesters Retake Square in Bahrain While Libya and Yemen Try to Suppress Protests
Protesters in Bahrain fought past riot policemen Saturday, retaking Pearl Square and leading the country’s crown prince to say he had ordered security forces out of the area. This concentrates the opposition. If I were leading this revolt I would leave the country and address the crowd remotely. -

New Hacking Tools Pose Bigger Threats to Wi-Fi Users
The dangers of being a hacking victim are growing for smartphone and laptop users at Wi-Fi hot spots, who may not realize that their browsing is being watched. I am reluctant to use more encryption. Linux and avoiding exposure of my banking and payments probably do the job. I will have to get my own plastic. -
