We are without power, dial tone, and DSL.  No real injuries.  Lots of angst.

      Republicans, who claim to be worried about the deficit, are suddenly determined to overturn one of health care reform’s central cost-control mechanisms.
      We know they are not rational.   The big cost cutter is universal coverage.  That spreads the risk of any given day.
