      The Do-It-Yourself Economy
“Forget the Recession.. Good Times Ahead due to the Great Inflection http://bit.ly/5VJh4C”       Published: December 12, 2009
This piece of republican propaganda has not happened.  New Jobs come from rapidly growing start ups.  Any time a new hire replaces an existing  hire it is not a new job.  The existing  position being refilled may well be empty, a lay off.

Yes we will have to make the new economy.  Republicans will not do it.

“59 New York Cabbies Charged With Defrauding Riders - http://nyti.ms/bkovex”

There is too much luck in this process.
They really cut down on the prosecuted.
They now have to take the switch out and add a line about double rate for out of town to the required notice. Doubling is easy to do.

I really miss Molly Ivins.  Gail Collins is a poor substitute.  She works too hard.
We knew the legislation would fail because the Republican party thinks they might win.  Can't let the rest of us do the right thing.

It is a revolution.  It is two and a half years away if HPs' guess holds.
HP will make a very dramatic splash in the electronic press when it is ready.  For now it is not a worry for us user types. it will spark a large equipment replacement cycle when it hits.  Lots of good stuff cheap.

Wow!  This is the residual of the Bushes. There is money there to do some useful things.  The patents on paper heat exchange will have run.  I wonder where I can find an entrepreneurial type.   Bookmarked

Step Right Up for Pest Control at Bedbug Meeting
More than 360 people, with quite a few inventors among them, gathered in Illinois for a conference about the pests.

It's enough to to put a rooming house out of business.

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.

This is what I look for.  Here is the direct link again:

    Curse of the Scorned Class
The attempted expulsion of the Roma is far too familiar. Have "Home Schooling" techniques been tried?  Literacy in a major language is of great value.  Everyone has to bow to the security peoples paranoia.  It is much easier if one can prove employment.
A dispiriting season of intolerance, at home and abroad.
A real example of "Live Free or Die".

Not much to add.  I am curious as to how she lived between 1945 and 1987.  PTSD is very disabling.

Mark Zuckerberg Giving $100 Million to Newark Schools
The gift from Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Facebook, to the notoriously troubled school system is part of his plan to start an educational foundation.

Newark deserves the money but really the state should have come up with it.  The water in NJ is a real problem.  There is very little clean water in north Jersey and NY will not give them any.  The water in the pine barrens is owned by Philidelphia.

        The Plot Escapes Me
“Do you forget what you've read? Me too. http://nyti.ms/bE0QHR”
It stays with me and is overlaid with others.  I can pull most up after a few pages.
There are very good reasons to forget the keys to blocks of memory.  People gone from my life is one.  Specialized knowledge that is now useless.  The unvalued dead.  The painful dead.  Good reasons to lose the keys.

“Dozens of Ways to ♥ New York - http://nyti.ms/9noVB4”

I looked.  New York is where I venture.  I do not live there, I visit.  I would like to have a club there that could provide me with a bed and a meal a few times a year.  If the pricing were sane that would be an hotel.

      Senators Don’t Ask, Don’t Debate
As Lady Gaga rallied crowds in Maine, the Senate (including a senator whom Gaga was appealing to) got lost in procedural debate this week.

Physical comedy has little place in my world these days.  There is no point to this but . . . Democrats must not win.
