Atheists Outdo Some Believers in Survey on Religion
Americans surveyed on their religious knowledge got half the questions wrong, including ones about their own faith.
    an honest poll.

In Massachusetts, Brockton High Becomes Success Story
A turnaround at a large Massachusetts high school is drawing new attention.   Deservedly so.  This appears to be the way NYC did it when they did do it.

“Looking forward to asking @seth on@_awny panel about this: "Readable on a Smartphone, Bar Codes Come to TV" - http://nyti.ms/cApcjM”  Do you really want more stuff?  It might get used to take you to the story but it did not read that way.

For the A-Cup Crowd, Minimal Assets Are a Plus
Many women these days want to showcase their small chests, not pad them out. Retailers are listening.  To sleep beside you and wake beside you is my fond hope.  It would be worth the smoke of many burning bridges.

      “The G.O.P.’s ‘Pledge’ - http://nyti.ms/dfCU6M Great stuff. #p2 #tcot VOTE 2010 ”
Sounding brass to say the least.  The authors are not believers in the Christian afterlife.  That should be made known.

“Would LOVE to see this! #Egypt - King Tut’s Chariot Arrives in Times Square - http://nyti.ms/bQ6Ndl”
it is back in Egypt at this point.  There will be good pictures and drawings at the Metropolitan Museum.  A trip to Egypt is not out of the question.  Neither is building one.  It is mostly a sulky.

Study Rethinks Importance of Kindergarten Teachers
“Reading: Study Rethinks Importance of Kindergarten Teachers - http://nyti.ms/aqkrEU”
Seven is said to be the magic class size.  By all means get rid of the dead wood and pay the good ones generously.  Let the teachers concentrate on the ones who need help.
      This model needs more work.

Water Use in Southwest Heads for a Day of Reckoning
Water distribution may be reordered as early as next year because the flow of water cannot keep pace with the region’s demands.
Water is a real limit to growth. Living in a place appropriate building would help enormously.
I still want to poke among the rocks.  The pool will be splendidly fiddly.  The Hetch Hetchy is on the other side of the divide, just north of Yosemity.  find it on google.

Roger Cohen is feeling depressed. He has good reason.
His data is aging badly.  He has not found the data sources.  Still he is not yet wrong.  I find that I am happy without a good reason..

      Tom Joad Gave Up
Remember what good government looks like? Revisiting California’s golden age might help.
David Brooks does his usual hatchet job. He starts with a miss-analysis of the problem and finishes with a poisonous prescription.   California is dying of greed among the powerful and the very development that Mr brooks takes such pride in.

ALBUQUERQUE — President Obama expounded Tuesday on the reasons he became a Christian as an adult, telling a group of residents here that he was a “Christian by choice” and that “the precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me in terms of the kind of life...

Nordstrom Uses Web to Locate Items and Increase Sales
“Nordstrom's "pick it up at the store" feature is wonderful. And smart: http://nyti.ms/9zNCEk”

The customer is always right.  NY wants to collect sales tax on things picked up.  Really on all web purchases to in state customers.
NY will not get to tax Indian tobacco sales.  It bothers the state government.
Please do not get into revolving debt.  It kills like drink.

        I must sleep.
