Great Big Quesadillas

All you need is a big flour tortilla, a good melting cheese and the meat or vegetable of your choosing.

I don't like multitools.
Does everything means does nothing well.

It is a place to start to think about design.

Why Judd Apatow Loves Montreal (You’ll Laugh)

The writer, director and now stand-up comedian is a fan of the Just for Laughs festival (he’ll film a Netflix special there) — and Cirque du Soleil.

Canada did not have a revolutionary war.
Their pride and reason for being is Canada is not the U.S.
It does not have the cultural conflicts of a civil war.
French Canada has been treated differently since the Arkadian expulsion.  Black Canada has its pride intact.
Native American relations were good until the twentieth century.  They were the concern of the R.C.M.P.
Scott and Irish problems were dealt with as within the empire.
Individuals were not plotting across sovereign borders.

Hated by the Right. Mocked by the Left. Who Wants to Be ‘Liberal’ Anymore?

After decades as a target of Republican abuse, liberalism is back in the middle of American politics, criticized on both sides and short on defenders.

Practicality has characterized Liberals in the U.S.
They satisfy neither extreme in the search for purity.
Let liberal politics deal with the problems with the available tools.
Liberal police departments will suppress riots as riots rather than political demonstrations.
They find nonviolence confusing.
Orders from above are obeyed.
There is clarity in a blindfold.
The liberals are there.
We will find another flag.

Ted Cruz Has an Idea for How to Cover High-Risk Patients

His proposal to change the Senate health bill would preserve Obamacare’s protections for some, but move most customers into an unregulated market.

Community pricing is a must.
Cruz is a nonstarter.

$2.2 Million Homes in Vermont, South Carolina and Pennsylvania

A 19th-century house in Barnard, an antebellum home near Augusta and a country modern retreat in Bucks County.

I will design and build.
I need to start soon.

Fashion Finds for All Style Tribes

When it comes to style, it’s often the little things sprinkled on top that make all the difference.

Ignorant children with attitude and a word processor.

Bernard Tomic Was ‘a Little Bored’ at Wimbledon. He Played Like It.

Tomic surprised his opponent, Mischa Zverev, by seemingly checking out on his way to a loss Tuesday. Afterward, Tomic said he was bored on the court.

He is now off the court.

Purchase, N.Y.: A Celebrity Sanctum With Wide-Open Spaces

This hamlet in the town of Harrison has both college and corporate campuses.

Peace and freedom are not to be had so close in to the city.
