Whale Strikes and Kills Canadian Rescuer After He Helps Free It

After Joe Howlett helped untangle a whale from fishing lines off the coast of New Brunswick, it made a “big flip” and fatally injured him, an official said.

I am saddened by the accident.

What We Lose When the World Moves On From Email

Donald Trump Jr.’s Russian email thread shows the historical value and irresistible allure of a technology that continues to betray us.

The U.S. mail has a presumption of privacy.

Content of telephone conversations is moderately private.
I will go to whisper and unplugging the battery most of the time if I must.

This looks like I need another tracfone and number.
I need an android phone to use signal.
It should not be a problem.

A cedar-shake house on Bainbridge Island, a clapboard home in Yarmouth and a Federal-style house near Biloxi.

Protecting Your Computer with Free Software

Several well-known security companies offer free versions of their full software suites for Windows and Mac.

I have been finding that Firefox is enough with the use of the built in privacy options.

When You Should (and Shouldn’t) Share Your Location Using a Smartphone

It is now almost impossible to stop location tracking on smartphones. So here are our tips for the best and worst cases of sharing your whereabouts.

I have not learned to use a small message system.
If I should do so an easy way would be to send me a text message asking for my location and for me to send a reply.

We would then be out of real time with its restrictions
(driving and big ears).  Again it is smart phone time.
I will get an android unit with a touch screen.

Getting to Know Gaudí in Barcelona, From Park to Palace

The allure of the city can be found in the work of the modernist architect, tours of which can be fueled by pintxos and an Estrella Galicia beer.

I would happily spend time in Barcelona.  I have done some homework.  Antonio Gaudi was a late gothic revival architect.  The work is cut stone and Catalan tile work.  He was generous with wrought iron.
