Nothing Is Easy in Illinois
Hmmm, is New York's political culture really worse than New Jersey's? Seriously?
California?
New York is certainly different. Spitzer did get elected on a reform platform.
I think Paterson was installed as an Agnew and to get out of the way. Like T.R.,
he was kicked upstairs to a null position. Bloomberg is a better man than the city has had for many years. He has no interest in dealing with the real estate disaster. The city council are the guardians of the status quo. Charlie Crist is just business as usual. Every where I look it really is worse than here and here is bad. The derivative may be positive but the old guard is really trying for change.
The Return of History
Some brilliant scholar has to write a comprehensive history of modern economics because the evolution of this field is clearly one of the most consequential things happening in the world today.
As discussed earlier.
