Joaquín Guzmán Loera is a Mexican convict on loan to the U.S. court system.  He has no rights beyond those of a serving convict. 
He will not be physically tortured.
He has a right to a competent attorney.
He has the right to know the charges against him.
He has the right to prepare a defense.
He has the right to a trial.
