Amid rapid gentrification, African-Americans and West Indians living in Crown Heights for generations are going east, or sometimes even out of the country.

Progesterone May Not Help Women With History of Miscarriages, Study Finds

Giving progesterone to women who have had three or more miscarriages does not increase their chances of carrying a pregnancy to term, according to a new study.

"The study also suggested that supplemental progesterone did not lead to an increase in congenital abnormalities. “Progesterone doesn’t cause harm,” said Dr. Arri Coomarasamy, the trial’s lead author and a professor of gynecology at the University of Birmingham."

A Better Way to Screen for Prostate Cancer

It is time to focus on ways to use the screening test more effectively.

"Virtually all experts agree that patients who receive diagnoses of prostate cancer need to explore the options thoroughly — surgery, radiation or “watchful waiting” — before making a decision that depends heavily on what risks they are willing to take."

No diagnosis.

Identities of Jurors in Trial Over Freddie Gray’s Death Will Be Shielded

The judge cited potential “undue harassment” of jurors in the trial of the first of six police officers charged in the death of Mr. Gray, a black man who suffered a spinal injury after his arrest.

A jury is supposed to be unbiased.
Harassment will bias peoples opinions.
It is the point of demonstrations.

We will see if the shielding works.
