Chinese Officials Should Stop Trying to Limit Family Size

Despite the easing of its dictate on family size, Beijing is still in the business of blocking personal freedom.

"China’s Communist leaders rarely admit their mistakes, so the government described the policy change as a technical adjustment akin to how a central banker might raise or lower interest rates. Human life and reproductive freedom deserves more dignity than that."

China is a sovereign nation.
Developed nations birthrates generally are well under replacement.
Replacement is about 2.5 children per couple which means 2.5 per woman.
Sex selection will not change yet.
Unpaired straight men will remove more women from the child bearing pool through the sex trade.
Demographic collapse will continue and accelerate.

Unions Under Threat

A lawyer who represents unions writes that the right-wing agenda is to financially weaken unions and eliminate the middle class.

"Real wages are flat or have declined for nearly a generation. The purpose of trade unionism for a hundred years in this country has been to extract more money for the workers from employers who can afford to pay."
