U.A.W. Contract With General Motors Is Ratified After Delay

Ratification was delayed in part because the automaker’s skilled trades workers, about 8,500 electricians, pipe fitters and other employees, had rejected the agreement.

The U.A.W. is doing better.

A West Village Penthouse for $25.48 Million

Two new downtown penthouses were the sales of the week — one at the Greenwich Lane in the West Village, and another at the Sterling Mason in TriBeCa.

Pacific Trade and Worker Rights

The success of the Trans-Pacific trade pact will depend on how well the nations actually enforce new labor standards.

There is little benefit for anyone in the agreement as it stands.

Restaurant Review: At Orama, in Edgewater, a Feast for the Eyes

At this fine-dining restaurant, which offers stunning décor and views of a twinkling New York City skyline, seafood is the strong suit.

"These faults wouldn’t matter as much if the prices were lower, but Orama is an expensive night out, so our expectations were high.
Still, there are those views and that gorgeous villa. Until the kitchen and the service catch up to the visuals, it might be preferable to savor the skyline and décor from the bar."

Not a winner.

Florida Averts Huge Upset in Overtime; Iowa Clinches Share of Big Ten West

Treon Harris’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Jake McGee in overtime allowed No. 8 Florida to avoid a huge upset at home. C. J. Beathard threw three touchdown passes and No. 6 Iowa clinched a spot in the Big Ten championship game.

"CONNECTICUT 20, HOUSTON 17 Noel Thomas caught two touchdown passes, including a 45-yarder on a trick play in the fourth quarter, and host Connecticut (6-5, 4-3 American Athletic Conference) upset No. 13 Houston (10-1, 6-1).
The Huskies held the previously unbeaten Cougars to 318 yards of total offense, almost 200 below their season average.
