How to Roast Cauliflower (the Whole Thing)

Prepared and served whole, the dish behaves much like roasted meat as a centerpiece to be carved at the table. (Article plus video.)

I enjoyed the soundtrack.
The dish looks trivially easy.
I would like to serve it on hollandaise  with some sage in it.

As Justices Weigh Affirmative Action, Michigan Offers an Alternative

With the Supreme Court considering a challenge to the affirmative action policy of the University of Texas, campuses like Michigan are finding new ways to attract minorities.

The objective is the correction of the racial prejudice built into the American culture by London administrators in the early seventeenth century.

Racial prejudice is a justification of chattel slavery.
(I can build a case.)
Slavery is gone but the justification remains and tilts the acculturation of children.
Correction should probably begin with land title.
The city wall has not been a feature of American civilization.
Peasant status has been associated with dark coloring combined with language skills.
The skills can be corrected.
It means losing their culture.

Michigan: Emergency Declared Over Flint’s Water

Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan declared a state of emergency for the Flint area as concerns grew about the health effects of lead-tainted water there.

First action:
Buy the city water service area.

"Lead piping is still found in old domestic and other water distribution systems, but it is no longer permitted for new potable water piping installations due to its toxicity. Many building codes now require that lead piping in residential or institutional installations be replaced with non-toxic piping or that the tubes' interiors be treated with phosphoric acid. According to a senior researcher and lead expert with the Canadian Environmental Law Association, "...there is no safe level of lead [for human exposure]".[3] "

Arrests Begin for Migrants Who Lost Asylum Cases

Federal agents arrested 121 migrants for deportation, the government said, starting a wave of removals of parents and children who arrived in 2014 and failed to win asylum in immigration courts.

"Most of the arrests were in Georgia, Texas and North Carolina, officials said, and were of migrants who had lost their cases and were ordered deported by immigration judges. "
